Benefits of a Tankless Water Heater

We have all been there: you step into a hot, relaxing shower and halfway through the water starts to turn cooler.  You turn up the temperature of the shower to try to get more hot water, but soon you’re rushing to rinse off in cold water.  If this is an all too familiar occurrence in your house, then a tankless water heater might be the perfect solution!

A standard tank water heater fills and heats a set volume of water.  Once that tank of hot water is depleted, it takes a while for the water heater to heat up another full tank.  A tankless water heater heats on demand, rapidly heating the water to a set temperature.

What Can You Expect From A Tankless?

  • Endless Hot Water
No matter how long you run your tankless, running out of hot water is a thing of the past! No more rushing through a cold shower or waiting for a standard tank to heat more water. As long as there is a demand for hot water, such as a shower or faucet running, the tankless will continue to run.
  • Energy Efficiency
A standard tank water heater is working 24/7 to keep that full volume of water hot and ready to be used, even when you're away from your house or sleeping. A tankless water heater only heats the water that you need when you need it.
  • Long Life
A standard tank water heater has an average working life of 8-12 years. A tankless water heater has a life expectancy of up to 20 years or longer when properly maintained. This longer working life can be primarily attributed to a tankless only running when hot water is being used, giving it a chance to rest in between.
  • Takes Up Less Space
A standard tank water heater can take up a significant amount of space in your utility room, basement, garage, or closet. A tankless water heater is a much smaller unit that is mounted on the wall. You will gain back some of that space where your standard tank water heater was installed when you switch to a tankless.
